If you already keep contact information outside of Sous, you don’t need to enter it all by hand. You can import your contacts using a CSV file.
Before You Begin
The import tool only works with CSV files.
Each contact in your CSV must have at least a First Name and an Email Address.
If you’re not sure how to create or save a CSV file, check our guide on preparing your CSV for import.
Importing Your Contacts
In the left-side menu, click Contacts.
In the top-right corner, click the 3-dot menu (⋮) and select Import.
In the Import screen, click Browse File.
Find and select your CSV file, then click Next.
Step 1: Map Your Fields
You’ll see each column from your CSV file.
Use the dropdowns to match each field with the correct field in Sous (for example: First Name → First Name, Email → Email).
The Sample Data column shows the first row from your file.
The Validation Status will confirm if the data format is correct (like email vs. phone number).
Step 2: Review Your Data
Scroll down and click Next when you’ve finished mapping your fields.
Review your contacts to make sure everything looks correct.
Click Next.
Step 3: Import Your Contacts
On the final screen, click Import.
If the Import button is grayed out, go back to Step 1: Field Mapping and fix any fields that didn’t pass validation.
Once the import is complete, refresh the Contacts page to see your new list.
✅ That’s it! Your contacts are now imported into Sous and ready to use.
